Community Care Collective (CCC) is a global group of grassroots youth activists and advocates committed to integrating community care and radical love at the heart of the social justice movement. Drawing inspiration from the principles of black feminists Audre Lorde and Bell Hooks, Community Care Collective recognizes the transformative power of radical love and community care in fostering inclusivity, resilience, and sustainable change.
Central to our mission, we seek to end stigma and shame around societal issues that are taboo and entrenched in our society such as mental illness and sexual health, that are all interconnected and intergenerational barriers in achieving equality and justice worldwide.
We have so far run in person care spaces at Women Deliver Rwanda 2023, UN CSW 2024, and UN ECOSOC 2024. We are currently establishing chapters across the globe and soon to have more care spaces on local, national and international levels.
